  1. 1.  Guidroz, Hypolite was born in 1812 in Chenal , Louisiana; died on 11 Apr 1880 in Chenal , Louisiana.

    Notes:

    Three of Hypolite's sons Francois, Jean Pierre, & Jules all
    fought
    in the Civil War. They all joined the same day and the same
    regiment. Company K , Louisiana 2 nd. Cavalry. ( Confederate)
    This company was part of the 33rd. Partisan Rangers.
    They joined September 2, 1862. One report says they joined
    at New Roads, Louisiana, another says at Donaldsonville,
    Louisiana ( Bayou Lafourche)
