Text | Lorraine Hemmer FREMONT - Lorraine R. Hemmer, 72, of Fremont, died Sunday, Aug. 8, 2004, as a result of an automobile accident near Tarnov. Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fremont, with the Rev. Owen Korte officiating. Burial is at Calvary Cemetery in Fremont. Visitation is from 2-9 p.m. Wednesday, with a 7:30 p.m. rosary, at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont, and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church. Mrs. Hemmer was born Jan. 1, 1932, in Tarnov, to Felix and Genevieve (Chochon) Barnas. She grew up in the Humphrey and Tarnov areas. She married Ralph E. Hemmer Jan. 23, 1951, in Tarnov. She lived in Fremont. She worked at J.C. Penney's for 27 years and Wal-Mart for seven years, both in Fremont. She was a member of the church and St. Patrick's Women. Survivors include one son, Allen Hemmer of Fremont; two daughters, Bonnie Novacek and Rose (Kirk) Haecke, both of Fremont; one sister, Darlene Sok of Lyons; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband June 12, 1993. Memorials are suggested to St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fremont. | |
