Text | Rodney J. Hallford, 57, Dies; Rites Tomorrow Rodney J. Hallford, 57, a mechanic who had won awards for suggestions during his employment the past 15 years at Litchfield Naval Air Facility, died Sunday in his home at 2934 W. Hadley. Mr. Hallford moved to Gilbert in 1943. He was born in Meridian County, Miss. He was employed at Williams Air Force Base from 1942 to 1947, when he moved to Tempe. Since then, he had lived both in Tempe and Phoenix. He was a member of the Acacia Masonic Lodge in Avondale. Servies will be conducted at 10 a.m. tomorrow in A.L. Moore & Sons Mortuary, 333 W. Adams. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park. Friends may call at the mortuary after noon today. He is survived by his wife, Winnie L.; three daughters, Mrs. Ledora Bernard of Fremont, Calif., Mrs. Oletus F. Smith of Laredo, Tex., and Julia A. Gracy of Long Beach, Calif.; three sons, Vadin J. of Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo., the Rev. Morris F. Hallford of Pickens, S.C., and Delbert of Phoenix; two sisters, Mrs. Juanita Gibson of Fremont and Mrs. Juanice Williams of Hollister, Calif., and 10 grandchildren. | |
