Text | Juanita Ida Gibson died in her hometown of Red Bluff Dec. 15, 2004. She was 83. Graveside services will begin at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at the Paskenta Cemetery in Tehema County. Born Sept. 1, 1921, in Peacock, Texas, she attended schools there and graduated from high school. After moving to California, she was a homemaker and farmer, working for the Kimber Ranch in Fremont for eight years. She was preceded in death by her son, Dewayne Alvin Gibson, in 1987; her brothers, Roddy Hallford and Albert Hallford; and her sister, Mary Hallford. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, William Alvin Gibson of Red Bluff; sons, Donald Gibson of Woodland and David Gibson of Red Bluff; a sister, Juanice Williams of Hollister; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society in her memory. Arrangements are under the direction of Evergreen Funeral Service of Woodland. | |
