Text | State of Mississippi, In the Chancery Court, Dec. term 1910. Kemper County. M.M. Hallford vs R.A. Hallford Your complainant, M.M. Hallford, a resident citizen of said state and county complains of Mrs. R. A. Hallford also a resident citizen of said state and county, and for cause of complaint would show the following, to-wit: That they were lawfully married in Ark. some time during the year 1880, that they moved to this state and county during the year 1882, that they have since resided in this county and lived together as man and wife until some time during the month of May of the present year. Your complainant alleges that the defendant treated him cruel and inhumanely, that prior to the time of separation her treatment of him was such that he could not bear it, that she was continuously accusing him of improper relations with other women, that she would often threaten him with violence and etc. Complainant alleges that for the sake of peace in his home he endured the abuse and threats of the defendant for more than a year when he could stand it no longer, he separated from defendant and has not lived with her in the relation of man and wife since May of the present year. Premises considered, it is the prayer of your complainant that proper legal process issuance required by law, commanding the defendant, Mrs. R. A. Hallford to be and appear before the chancery court at the Dec. term 1910 to be held at the court house in the town of DeKalb, to plead, answer or demur to this bill, and that on final hearing your Hon. will pass a decree forever dissolving the bonds of matrimony new existing between you complainant and the defendant, and as in duty bound, he will ever pray and etc................ ~Page 1~ +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ State of Mississippi, Kemper County. Personally appeared before me, the undersigned authority in and for the above named state and county, M.M. Hallford, the complainant in the bill for divorce hereto attached, who says on oath that all the matters, things and allegation therein stated are true and correct, and that this bill is not filed by collusion with the defendant for the purpose of obtaining a divorce.
