  Robert's wife Elizabeth is listed Spartanburg Probate record #1211, living in 1817 & daughter of David Lewis. I suspect that David was her brother who supposedly rescued some of her children from the Indians. It is believed that Robert Bishop was the Robert Bishop killed by Indians about 1776. owned land near Skull Shoal of the Pacolet River Not proved son of Henry (but believed to be so); Louise Curry thinks son of an Edmund owned land in Union Co. bef 1773 adjoining land obtained by Wm Bishop & wife Jane, likely my ancestors I had died 1781; Michael Bishop says 1776 & established his father some info from CD 108..........DNB
