- Joyce Aline Steen of Seguin, Texas entered into eternal rest on Monday, May 11, 2020 at the age of 85. She was born to Floyd Franklin Smith and Frances Aline (Bishop) Smith September 3, 1934 in Weatherford, Texas.
Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Nancy Willard, her brother, Floyd Smith, Jr., her son, Robert Michael Steen, her granddaughter, Elisha and her great grandson, Gabriel.
She is survived by her loving children, Helen Foote, Jackiy Bayless, and Sherry Wielgosiek (Mark); grandchildren, Desire, Kevin, Jesse, Tiffany, Travis, Joshua, Jacob, Tyler Marie, Jannah, Robert, and Rhianna,; great-grandchildren, Skylar, Cleo, Bailey, Audrey, Emilia, and Jackson. Joyce is further survived by her sister, Sue Marsack (Mike) of California, and numerous extended family and friends.
Joyce loved spending time with family, traveling, reading, sewing for charity, and most of all, collecting fabric for quilts to match all the patterns she had collected over the years. She often said, "She who dies with the most fabric, wins!"
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association and/or the American Diabetes Association as the family will not be having Funeral Services.
